Wasserwerte Fundorte:

Etymologie:
Nach Hernán Ortega Torres. Curator der Fischsammlung des Museo de Historia Natural, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.

Größe:
bis 4 – 4,5 cm (Holotype 32,7 mm SL)

Empfohlene Temperatur im Aquarium:
22 bis 25 °C


Weitere Angaben:
Corydoras ortegai ist sehr nahe mit C. reynolsi, C. weitsmani, C. panda und C. tukano verwand. Im Vorkommensgebiet von C. ortegai kommt gleichzeitig C. pastazensis vor.
