mit Corydoras costai wurde ein neuer Panzerwels wissenschaftlich beschrieben:

A new Corydoras from floodplain swamps
of the São Francisco river basin, northeastern Brazil

(Teleostei, Siluriformes, Callichthyidae)

Felipe P. Ottoni, Maria A. Barbosa & Axel M. Katz

Die Art ähnelt C.garbei und C.difluvatilis.
