Help with some translation

Hi everyone,
I need help with some translation from German to English. I was reading Steindachner's description of Corydoras multimaculatus where he described the shape of the snout/nose of this species to be "Schnauze unter bogenförmiger Krümmung nach vorn abfallend".

Am I right to say that it has a round and flat nose?

Thank you very much!

Hi Tobi!
Thanks for your help! I mean if I translate the snout shape to be "flat and rounded snout" would that be accurate according to Steindachner's description?

Cos what he wrote was "Schnauze unter bogenförmiger Krümmung nach vorn abfallend."

Danke!

Hi Alan!

Zitat

Perhaps the word "flat" is not perfectly right. If you look at the picture, you can see that the snout isn't really kinda flat. I'll try to translate, perhaps it's right, but i don't know if the vocabularies are used for this meaning normally.

Snout sloping forwards in an arched curvature. :) Right?

Greetings Tobi
